The Pahoa Sunset Rotary Club announces it will award a $5,000 college scholarship to a senior student from an area school. The Hawaii Rotary Youth Foundation Scholarship is funded through the Hawaii Rotary District 5000.
The Pahoa Sunset Rotary Club announces it will award a $5,000 college scholarship to a senior student from an area school. The Hawaii Rotary Youth Foundation Scholarship is funded through the Hawaii Rotary District 5000.
The scholarship is offered to an outstanding high school student who will attend a four-year university or college in Hawaii or on the U.S. mainland.
The winner of the Pahoa Sunset Rotary Club award will go on to compete with other Hawaii District Rotary scholarship winners for a $10,000 scholarship.
The club encourages high school seniors in the Pahoa-area schools to apply for this scholarship.
Applications are available through the students’ high school counselors. Students with questions can call Craig Watkins at 966-4072.
